Mash Elite Youth Athletic Performance Ages 6-11 Coach Guided

This program is designed to stabilize, strengthen and mobilize young athletes in a way that will transfer directly onto the field. The goal is to strengthen the athlete through a full range of motion and in all planes of motion, while stabilizing and strengthening each individual joint with thicker and more elastic tendons.

This program will ensure that youth development will take place focusing on:

  • Functional Movement Patterns
  • All Planes of Motion (Rotational, Horizontal, Vertical, and Side to Side)
  • Power, Strength, and Body Weight Efficiency
  • Videos and advice throughout
  • Ongoing Coaching and Communication
  • Programming based on biological and training age

This program comes with a Mash Coach that Coach Mash works with on a daily basis at Rise Indoor Sports. The coach will critique videos, alter programming, and answer any questions. The goal is to provide nutrition, sleep, and recovery habits that will form a lifestyle.

It has been over two years since we’ve had a true online team. Since then, I have finished my Master’s in Exercise Science, was named the Head of Sport Science at Rise Indoor Sports and become the Head of Education for GymAware Velocity Based Training.

Why did it take by so long to launch the team rebirth? That’s because I didn’t want to launch just another online coaching team with some general program for everyone to follow. I wanted something different. I also wanted the best coaches possible to help me with this endeavor.

I'm starting off with the two coaches that work with me daily at Rise Indoor Sports:

•      First, Coach Matt Wininger, B.S. a graduate of Lenoir-Rhyne University where he was the Team Captain for my LRU Weightlifting Team that earned two National Championships. He earned All-American honors all four years, and is a two-time Team USA Weightlifting Athlete. He was also a sprinter on the Varsity Track and Field Team. Matt was the original Team Mash Elite Athlete having been my athlete since he was 10-yrs-old making it 14-years he's been my athlete. He's also the coach of my own children, which is the biggest honor I can bestow on a fellow coach.

•.    Coach John Lucchesi, B.S. is a graduate of East Tennessee State University's prestigious Exercise Science Department. He was a starter all four years on the Varsity Soccer Team and went on to play pro for a few years after college. John is the Head Strength Coach at Rise Sports Performance. He's also the one that keeps all of us organized and the one that creates our systems at Rise. Coach Lucchesi has worked hard to understand all the tech that I brought to Rise Indoor Sports. He's also one of the most humble coaches in America making a real effort to learn under my guidance. He's the glue to this team, and the real reason that the new online team will be better than ever.

Here is the list of what to expect:
•       Coaches will answer questions within a 24-hr period
•.      Coaches can individualize programming in the following ways:
o  Can easily minimize volume if the program is simply too much
o  Can eliminate exercises or suggest alternate exercises
• There's an assessment to monitor improvements
• Team Camps to be held at Rise Indoor Sports and/or the Mash Farm bi-yearly, which will be great times to get assessed by me using the latest in technology to measure speed, agility, jumping, power, and movement.

This is going to be a team with the aim to bridge the edgy hardcore culture Mash Elite is famous for together with the latest in science and research.

Team Mash Elite is back!

P.S. Youth development became one of my passions while acquiring my Master's in Exercise Science. I have written many articles, recorded many podcasts, and recorded many videos about this very topic. I will send a few of those your way.
